Emilie Pardoen is a partner at Avizor Advocates and Arbitrators, specialising in international arbitration and complex dispute resolution. She represents clients in domestic and international arbitration proceedings and in commercial disputes before the Dutch courts. She acts both for and against states, financial institutions and listed companies, and has extensive experience in the enforcement of arbitral awards, asset tracing and issues of state immunity.

Emilie graduated cum laude in 2013 and completed an honours programme during her studies. Before joining Avizor, she spent several years at Omni Bridgeway in Geneva and Amsterdam. As a member of its investment and engagement committees, she advised on the funding of complex international disputes and gained extensive experience in asset tracing and the cross-border enforcement of arbitral awards. She was appointed partner at Avizor in 2024.

Emilie is the Dutch VIAC Ambassador and, in this capacity, forms part of a global network representing the Vienna International Arbitral Centre across jurisdictions. She is also active in VIAC's working group on energy-related matters. Emilie is involved with ICC Netherlands, where she helps organise events that bring together the wider arbitration community and in-house counsel. She is also invited to speak at international arbitration conferences across Europe.

Alongside her legal practice, Emilie serves as a board member of the foundation of Egeria, one of the Netherlands' leading private equity firms. The foundation's activities span the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States. She is also involved in the group's impact investing fund, contributing to initiatives at the intersection of investment and societal impact. In addition, she also does volunteer work for various organisations in the Netherlands and abroad.

Emilie is Dutch and works in Dutch, English and German. She also understands and reads French.
